Awards
Ballinger Transport pride’s itself on our fleet and its presentation at all times. Whether it’s on the job or at a truck show the vehicles are presented to the highest standards. Saturdays are spent in the yard taking care of the fleet, with hours of washing and maintenance having Dane and his business recognised for all of the efforts put in each week.

AWARD of EXCELLENCE #5 - DANE BALLINGER............. We handed out six awards in 2017 to people who had either shown a loyalty to the Kenworth brand, had a long relationship, or had done a cracking restoration.... all with thanks to Adrian Scott at Elite Compliance Consulting.
It was back in about 2004 when I when I was working for EPQ in Sydney and we entered some of our fleet into the Working Truck Show at the Museum of Fire Penrith. It was there that I met a very young Dane Ballinger, madly blackening the tyres on his T404SAR with the big Dawson’s Removals pan on the back, setting what was to become Dane's signature platform for perfection. Thinking it was Craig Lowndes embarking on a new career in trucking (let's face it, he DOES resemble him a bit.......) I wandered over to shoot the breeze with a fellow company driver passionate about his ride.
By the time I wandered off, I was floored to have met one of the nicest young blokes I'd come across in a long time who left me green with envy as he announced that he owned the truck after being a driver for Dawson’s and then being offered to go subbie. And here we are, fourteen years down the track and this now 34-year-old has 5 trucks to his name and all of them timeless. He's proudly assisted Turk & Justin in their retirement plans by putting each of his trucks to work after they had been individualised by the Klos Bros team.
He is, according to all who know him, one of the most humble and coolest dudes out there with an amazing eye for detail and style. Of all of his trucks that I've seen, his 950 Legend stood out to me as being one of the finest. From memory it was styled after his Uncles old Ford LTL with an extremely unique paint job but like all of his trucks, the presentation is flawless.
Dane, you've achieved more in 34 years than most of us could dream of and done it by setting the bar fairly high. Keep it going mate and thanks for making the trek down to the KK17 for us all to see just how nice your gear is up close. Proud to present you with the Award of Excellence Dane, you and your family deserve every bit of it.
Bruce Gunter, Kenworth Klassic Organiser.
